Memorial Day doubled up with Honey-Do Day at our house. One of the tasks accomplished was the installation of the much anticipated solar clothes dryer.
I had my first chance to try it out today and it seems to work just fine.
To celebrate the holiday Lily went to Dairy Queen with her Uncle Keith. She was delighted with her task of cleaning the strawberry shake out of the cup.
This comment from both my husband and my brother as the tempature dropped and moisture started falling from the sky. It's a dramatic change and doesn't feel very Arizonian.
The mountain was all but covered up this morning and I had to cover up too with long sleeves and long pants in order to be comfortable....although I was able to avoid socks so my bare toes are still free and happy.
This weeks triple digit temperatures have made it undesirable to be outside during the day, but Wednesday's overcast skies were the perfect excuse to work in the yard. Besides pulling weeds out of the gravel yard and working in the garden I reclaimed the sidewalk when I gave Rosemary a much needed trim.
My first attempt at gardening. We built a raised bed garden and then transplanted seedlings that I had raised indoors. Now we need to install the drip irrigation system, fill the second half of the bed, and plant the remaining plants.
