garden gone wild

Before I left for Michigan we hooked up an auto-drip system to water the garden.

The plants have thrived on the regular soaking and are all growing big but the watermelon plants have gone crazy. They are growing over, up, down, and around the garden. The enclosure looks a bit like a green cave.

We have discovered four watermelons in the last few days. Three of them were growing on the outside of the bird netting and were relocated to the roof above the garden.

The fourth watermelon is hanging inside the enclosure.

My mouth is watering!

Do you have a roof on your garden?

Yes...a roof on the garden to give it some shade....the bird netting hangs down from the roof to keep critters from eating the produce.
