hope 4 hopi...

Many Hopi had new hope by the time we left, they experienced the Father's love as they never had before.

Before and after pictures of the meeting room. We wanted to create an intimate "wedding chamber atmosphere" so we set up the huppah as the focal point. At the end of the conference individuals were invited to come up under the huppah and make a vow to the YaHWeH, the bridegroom. The words spoken gave testimony to the impact the conference had on the lives of those who attended.

Preparing for the guest to arrive...the men fixed our meals and interceded during the teaching sessions. During the evening worship sessions they joined the women.

As they arrive each woman chose a mug at the registration table. During the first session they were paired up with a prayer partner and exchanged mugs as a reminder to pray for one another.

One of my jobs as we prepared for the conference was to purchase attractive mugs at the local thrift stores. I love it when my responsibilities include shopping for interesting things.

The worship was wonderful....keyboard, drums and violin and the sweet presence of the Ruach HaKodesh.

We were thrilled to have 5 baptisms and 1 rededication dunk on Saturday afternoon. In order to respect privacy I'm only including a photo of the feet of those freshly washed and shod in new flip-flops. The Hopi, when they do a traditional naming ceremony wash the hair of the person being given a new name. It's not hard to see how they brought a unique understanding to the significance of the baptism.

The Hopi were not the only ones change during the conference. Several of those who traveled to Hopi to minister found that they also received healing during the conference. On Sunday at church Beverly had a chance to share how she was now free to worship in the dance without the enemy whispering in her ear lies about what others might be thinking.

We will again be heading to the Hopi land June 6, 7, & 8 to participate in their annual tent meetings. We are praying that those who came to the women's conference will also attend the meetings next weekend.

dog days of summer

This morning while the current males in our household went to a men's breakfast down the road Beverly, Lily and I enjoy some girl time on the front "porch". As the temperature climbed we set up a pool for the dogs to play in.

Lily is a running and jumping dog but doesn't like to run and jump in water. She was content with eating ice cubes to keep cool.

Moshe went dunking for ice cubes and Shyloh got hoisted into the tub for an introduction to water play.

After the boys returned we all spent some time relaxing in the shade and resting after the very busy and productive day we had on Friday.

shavot

Today is Shavot, an appointed moedim from YaHWeH for all those who follow him. On Shavot we remember the day that YaHWeH gave the Torah and the people became a nation committed to serving Him.

headed to hopi

A week ago Wednesday we packed up and headed, caravan style, north to the Hopi reservation for our first Hopi Women's conference. Several ministries joined together including the Soaring Eagles, the ministry that Jay and I have been working alongside.

The shadow of the truck and camper as we neared the end of the five hour drive.

The sun was setting as we entered the Hopi Nation. I shot the sunset out the window of the moving vehicle.

Years of intercession for the Hopi people was an important part of laying the groundwork for what happened during the conference. Prayers of individuals and ministries worldwide lifting up this specific strategic time broke through strongholds and ushered in freedom for these women unlike anything they had ever experienced.

Ron and Lura, the leaders of Soaring Eagles Ministry, anoint and pray over the doors and windows of the building where the conference was held.

No accident but unintentional, the communion juice served on Friday morning, as we gathered to start the day of ministry, rested on a makeshift table of a map of the United States showing the locations of the Native American Reservations.

Beverly and Darrell walk and intercede on the Hopi land.

silly lily plays house

Lily loves to play house. She goes to the property behind our house were our former neighbor's house has been taken down. The people who tore the house down did the work in exchange for anything they could salvage from the house. They took most of the materials and burried some but quite a bit of rubble remains. The stacks of blocks and piles of tin are perfect for lizzard hunting. Lily can easily entertain herself there for hours on end. She gets so focused that on hot days she has to be reminded to take breaks to drink or come inside to rest.

Silly Lily.
