It almost looks like salt that we sprinkle to melt the snow, but I doubt there's much of that in Arizona. It also looks like those baking crystals that we used to use with Grandma to make ornaments. It almost looks like rice.

It does look like salt, but... could it be something like dried up cactus guts?
989 cookie...the cactus guts made me laugh :) It is actually Epsom salt...I was pouring some the other day and noticed how pretty it is.
