The vendors at the parade were so colorful ...
During a slow part of the afternoon Rece and I walk the entire plaza and handed a piece of candy to each person we could find. Almost no one refused, even the men working at setting up the stage smiled and extended their hand when we offered them "dulces". This man posed for me in his booth after we gave him a peppermint.
This was a first for me....mango on a stick. After you pay for it the vendor peels the skin off for you and off you go.
Note the side view mirror....I was shooting pictures as I drove the parade route :)

So did you try the mango on a stick? Sounds messy.
didn't try it...wary of eating things sold on the street....street food has a reputation of making Americans run...
